o Il Melone dates back to the beginning of the 19th century when it was a property of the Mancinis, a noble family from Cortona who still owns the entire set of buildings, spreading for an area of almost 9 acres in the beautiful Etruscan city of Cortona.

Borgo Il Melone provides of spacious apartments which may accommodate from 2 to 8 people; They are located where in the 19th century stood a little settlement. The restoration of the set of buildings has been carried out with the uttermost respect for the original architectural features. The Borgo included a manor surrounded by a group of smaller farmhouses where the products of the land, such as oil, grapes, and wheat (today the name of some apartment) were processed. The Borgo offers two different type of restoration for those who wish to taste local food, a Restaurant and a Tavern-Wine Bar and also a big swimming pool, equipped with a relaxing whirlpool area, lifeguard, showers and a changing room.

Borgo Il Melone is located very close to the most fascinating towns of central Italy, renowned for their artistic beauty, such as Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Perugia, in the valley below Cortona, the oldest Etruscan settlement, surrounded by the most typical Tuscan countryside.
